James E. Fabbrini

Founded in 2006 by James E. Fabbrini, the Fabbrini Law Group LLC has grown to become recognized in Chicago as a firm specializing in criminal defense and personal injury law as well as a wide variety of related litigation.

James Fabbrini earned his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2000 and his bachelor of arts degree from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1995, where he also played varsity hockey as a goaltender.

Known for his professionalism, James is a tireless advocate for his client’s rights. He has experience litigating and settling all types of criminal defense cases and personal injury claims. He has tried more than 100 jury trials, countless bench trials, and argued numerous hearings and motions on behalf of his clients. With 20 years of courtroom experience, James has earned a reputation as one of the top trial lawyers in Chicago and is often times retained by other attorneys to take difficult cases to trial.

James has conducted educational conferences and seminars and has helped mentor many new litigators in the fields of criminal defense and personal injury law. His firm also sponsors an internship program under which prospective law school applicants are introduced to the many different aspects of the practice of law in Cook County.

Meagan Schweickert

Attorney

Meagan joined Fabbrini Law Group in 2019 and focuses her practice on personal injury litigation, as well as DUI and criminal defense. She is known at Fabbrini Law Group for her excellent client communication skills and attention to detail in all cases. She is a zealous and tireless advocate for her clients who is well respected among her colleagues and peers

Meagan earned her law degree from UIC Law where she also was a member of the Trial Team. She earned her bachelor in Political Science and Legal Studies from Illinois State University.  Prior to joining Fabbrini Law Group, Meagan gained valuable experience working with Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth’s office as well as volunteering her time at Habitat for Humanity. Meagan is also an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
